Personality:
Fumi Kanno, in many ways, fits the stereotypes associated with the term 'mad scientist.' She is incredibly brilliant and knows a great deal about science, especially as concerns computers, electronics, machinery, and all forms of technical knowledge. She relates much more to the cold logic of machines than she does to the warmth of human emotion, often struggling with understanding other peoples' feelings and reactions to things outside of a cold and clinical detachment.
Believing herself to be naturally superior to most other humans, Fumi takes many liberties with her research, often showing a blatant disregard for the safety of others as long as her experiments show sufficient results. She also expects everyone to be able to understand and process information on the same high level that she does, quickly becoming irritated with anyone who does not. Fumi especially hates dumbing her explanations down so that anyone can understand them.
Confident in her abilities, Fumi rarely backs down from a challenge. As she is talented both in the mundane sciences as well as demon summoning, she is one of JPs' key players in the goal to bring about a merit-based world. In many ways, she is a successful example of these ideals, and is proud of her accomplishments and how hard she had to work to get where she is today. Because of this, she displays remarkably little sympathy for those people who were not blessed with natural talent or who have not taken pains to develop a useful skill of their own.
Aside from all of her rougher aspects, there is something resembling human compassion sleeping deep below the surface in Fumi. In the course of her Fate link, she does eventually decide that endangering human lives is not worth the data collected in the process, though she still shows no qualms about strapping Jungo into experimental devices that end up exploding with him inside. She is also attached in her own way to those who support and respect her, treasuring a picture of her host family from when she studied abroad and displaying unquestioning loyalty to Yamato Hotsuin and her superiors in JPs.

She seems to be paying very little attention to the world around her, but manages to navigate expertly through crowds and around obstacles without ever breaking her stride or dropping anything. Other people might as well not be around at all.]

Following unnecessarily cryptic conversation with a man with an equally unnecessary butterfly mask, have found self in unfamiliar locale. City appears to be an amalgam of Japanese cultural centers with occasional misplaced Western or fantasy influences. Frustratingly unable to recall method of transport or exact details of conversation, but word 'Persona' appears to hold some importance. Further investigation required.
